Upcoming Bible/Book Studies
This winter, a new Bible Study will be offered for women on Wednesday mornings at 9:30, running from January 31 through March 21. Following a wonderful experience in the fall with Sacred Rhythms, we will gather together to learn and study, using a Bible study written by Sarah Young – Jesus Calling: Putting Jesus First. We will explore what it means to place Jesus first in every part of our lives – and how to rely on him in the busy times, anxious times, uncertain times, and lonely times. Use the form at the bottom of the page to sign-up.
Our younger women had a wonderful summer together sharing a weekly Bible/Book study based on Present Over Perfect. We’ll continue with another session during the winter – meeting at 6:00 on Monday nights, from January 29 through March 5 at Pastor Jane’s home. During these weeks we will focus our thoughts toward developing rhythms and practices in our lives that can bring us closer to God. Based on the book Sacred Rhythms: Arranging Our Lives for Spiritual Transformation by Ruth Haley Barton, topics such as solitude, scripture, and prayer will be covered. Use the form below to join this group of women!
Lenten Soup and Study
Union invites you to our annual Soup and Bible Study on Wednesday nights during Lent (February 21-March 21). Following our Advent Journey, we will be journeying with Jesus to Jerusalem on his road to the cross using passages from the book of Luke. You can purchase the book, The Journey to Jerusalem here.
Pray about who you will invite to join us. We will meet at 5:45 PM in the Fellowship Hall for a light soup supper, followed by Bible study each evening. Sign up below to join us.
